BJØRN AGAIN
I built BJØRN AGAIN from plans and frame sections over 9 years of weekends and evenings.

John Brooks and Ruth Hill and their four children at Brooks Boats Designs designed and built a new plywood kit boat last summer. The DragonFlyer design is meant to be a trainer for beginning sailors and then grow with their skills, offering lively sailing as their own skills are developed.
DON DON
Don Don was designed and built by Van Dam Custom Boats, and launched in the summer of 2011. The boat is 28′-7″ long, and 8′ 6″ beam, and speed comes from a 375 h.p. engine. More information from Van Dam Custom Boats, 970 E. Division St., Boyne City, MI 49712. 231-582-2323.
GERRYLU
Nick Riggio built the GERRYLU, a Steve Redmond Whisp design, from Meranti plywood, cypress wood, and mahogany. Nick was a student at Greg Rossel's WB School Fundamentals of Boatbuilding class in the summer of 2002. GERRYLU is 15'7" x 3'6" and is used on the lakes near Webster Groves, MO.
FRANNY
FRANNY is David Sharp's first wooden boat effort. She is 11' long with a 59' beam. He constructed her using marine plywood epoxied to fore-and-aft stringers with mahogany seats. He launched FRANNY in August of 2001 and uses her on the waters of Green Bay, NS, and Ottawa, ON.
SHAWSHANK
Mark and Jane Serrianne love their 1953 Lyman Ideal, SHAWSHANK, that they recently restored and then launched on Chautauqua Lake, New York. SHAWSHANK, 13'2" × 4'8", had dry rot in the bottom, which they removed and repaired.
Coastal Rowing Single
Some pictures of a just completed build of a Coastal Rowing single that I will row on local waters on both sides of Vancouver Island, where I live.
ARROW
Sue Gaire’s first attempt at building a wooden boat turned out beautifully when she launched ARROW from a small beach at Ponce de Leon Park in Punta Gorda, Florida, last summer.
Odessa
Odessa is a gaff-rigged L.F. Herreshoff-designed Buzzards Bay 14 (17′ LOA, 3-foot draft, 5′10″ beam) sloop launched June 8 at Clark Boat Yard in Jamestown, Rhode Island.The hull for “Odessa” was built by Graves Yacht Yard, Marblehead, Mass.
