Cattail is a reproduction of a railbird skiff from the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s small boat collection. The original was built around 1900 for McIlvain Biddle of Philadelphia.
I launched my boat July 27, 2015, I started the build on December 4, 2014. I have 814 hours in the build. The boat performs very Well. I installed a new 70 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard with the command link instrument package. The boat reached 29 MPH at 6200 RPM. Getting 5.4 MPG of fuel.
PERFECTO is a CLC Pocketship designed by John Harris and modified by Master Violin Maker, Scott W Hershey of Dillsburg, PA. I stretched PERFECTO by 1′ and extended the cabin and widened footwell. Building photos are on YouTube videos and are in 3 parts.

Jessica Glazer took these pictures of her father, Russ, sailing WILLIWAW. Arch Davis designed the gunter-rigged Penobscot 14 , that Russ built with 1/4″ mahogany plywood, pine stringers and seats, and fir knees and spars. Russ sails his boat in Western Massachusetts.
Doug Burns built this Shearwater 17 from a Chesapeake Light Craft kit. The honey colored hull is Okoume plywood, the dark red deck Sapele. She has an LOA of 17′ and a beam of 22″. Designed by Eric Shade, she weighs about 45lbs.
