Gus Duncan made quite a few modifications to this Chesapeake Light Craft (www.clcboats.com) that had been originally built in Brisbane, Australia.
When he was eight years old, Shaw Clifton and and his father, David, built this 8′ flat-bottomed skiff at the Toledo Wooden Boat Show in Toledo, Oregon. They named her COMRADE and rowed her for a while in a local pond, but Shaw’s interests turned elsewhere.
The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Hadlock launched on June 14, three classic Whitehalls built for the British Broadcasting Corporation. The BBC used the boats in August 2013 to recreate John Wesley Powell’s 1869 exploration of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.

Mark and Jane Serrianne love their 1953 Lyman Ideal, SHAWSHANK, that they recently restored and then launched on Chautauqua Lake, New York. SHAWSHANK, 13'2" × 4'8", had dry rot in the bottom, which they removed and repaired.
William Leake likes the look of strip-built canoes but his wife prefers the look of lapstrake canoes. He thought a hybrid model—strip-planked on the bottom half and lapstrake above that—might be the solution to both of them getting what they want.
Gloucester Rocking Dory.
This little gem caught my attention and was as much fun to build as it looks. Its exaggerated curves and wave inspired rockers give it a cartoonish quality. Turns out its a tad small for me so Ill be giving it to a future skipper...
