Using Bill Platt's design, Eric Rasmussen built this 18' pulling boat and launched it in the summer of 2007. Eric writes that used white spruce and white cedar that he logged in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, which he then milled into bead-and-cove strips for the hull.
Chris Kern built this skin-on-frame pontoon boat using a frame he bought on Craigslist and some cedar frames. He covered the pontoons in ballistic nylon. Chris uses his boat for "tame floats" near Salem, Oregon
I built this kayak for my 12-year-old granddaughter. When her mom was that age she had a small sailboat. So I decided to add a drop-in sail rig to the kayak so she can use the boat either way.
I completed the Lumber Yard Skiff based on the plans I purchased from The WoodenBoat Store. It is constructed of cypress planking for its sidewalls, cedar boards are used for the deck, bottom, and benches. It is sealed with fiberglass matte and marine epoxy.
A CLC Mill Creek 16. Will be used for fishing and bird watching on the inland lakes and streams in Illinois and Wisconsin.
