Compass Project's Biddeford Boatbuilding Festival

-

Who: Families, corporate teams, youth organizations. Your team of up to five participants is one of six teams who will build a boat in a weekend. No skills necessary–all materials and supplies are provided.

What: Be part of a unique community event. Build your own Compass Skiff, a 10-foot outboard skiff in just two days! The boat is yours to take home, donate or auction or raffle as a fundraiser. The boat will be fully built, but the finishing will need to be done after the event.

• Nautical themed vendors and exhibitors
• Guest Speakers
• Kids activities
• Food and music at nearby venues

Why: Help a great cause and have fun at the same time! Your participation in this event helps raise funds for Compass Project’s year-round boat building and rowing programs for at-risk youth!

When: 8:30am-4:30pm on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday July 17. The festival will conclude with a boat launching into the Saco River.
