JASON

JASON was commissioned by Jay Gould III and his actress wife Lina Romay and launched in July of 1963 for Southern California and Mexico family cruising. The second owner moved JASON to Puget Sound, where the third owner crabbed and fished extensively. Gary Fraser then return JASON to her original waters in 1988 where he began a extensive restoration. Residing at SDYC, JASON was called into service to host the original owner Lina Romay for her 90th birthday. Lina, joined by family and friends, had not been aboard JASON since the early 1970s, was overcome by joy and broke out in song as she relived the great early years aboard JASON.
