Zoni Beach
Bob Sack of Covesville, Virginia, built this Catspaw Dinghy model using plans and an instruction book from the WoodenBoat Store. He copied the plans at a size that would make the patterns the correct size for a 16″ model. He named the boat ZONI BEACH and modified the plans a bit further so he could install radio control equipment. The model is double-planked with basswood and walnut. Bob substituted his microwave oven for a steam box. He enjoyed building the model and adds that ZONI BEACH sails well, though he keeps her out of gusty winds.
