GOZZO 520

This gozzo is a traditional Italian small fishing boat, which has a strong reputation for being a seaworthy and comfortable boat. The length of 5,20 m is the average length of the traditional gozzo and is almost the minimum length which allows the use of an inboard engine. Traditionally the gozzo was rigged with a lateen sail and we left this solution. As this rig is not very practical to handle it may be changed to a gaff a to a lug rig. The performances under sail are not that of a modern dinghy but are much better than expected, thanks also to the moderate displacement. The building system is composite strip planking. We have limited as much as possible the use of plywood in order to maintain a traditional look. More information at: www.bcademco.it
