ROBERTS 470 - WOOD EPOXY

When I first saw WoodenBoat Magazine’s boat design competition to design a modern wooden runabout, I was very excited. I’m sure most of the other competitors in this competition feel the same way.

ALBATROS 32' is a modern classic yacht, seaworthy and comfortable, which can be built by an expert builder.

An 18' daysailer/beach cruiser available in multiple configurations: gaff sloop or balanced-lug yawl rig; traditional plank-on-frame, glued lapstrake, or cold-molded construction; keel or centerboard

Shallow-draft, V-bottomed pocket cruiser with spartan accommodations for two.

Construction: Carvel planked over sawn frames

Alternative construction: Strip or plywood

Lofting is required.

Plans include 5 sheets.

YOUNG BAGGIE, with a hull length of 4 m, is the medium size of the three boats we designed drawing inspiration from the traditional sandbaggers.

DIAPASON is a small cabin cruiser 7,50 m length. It is a modern, simple boat with racy lines, good performances and internal accommodations suitable for cruising.

Prospector “Ranger” 15 — a pocket-sized prospector.The Prospector models built by the Chestnut Canoe Company were made in lengths from 12 to 18 ft.

Designed by Joel White, the original boat was built plank-on-frame by Jimmy Steele (of Peapod fame), but no plans were ever drawn-until now.

The Duo is a simple to build 3m (10ft) hard chine rowing and sailing dinghy that can be built from just two sheets of 4mm (3/16in) plywood. It is also available as a nesting dinghy, so it can be stored on a cabin roof or even in the back of a car.
