Shallow-drafted V-bottomed cruiser with cross-planked bottom & berths for three. Construction: Carvel planked sides over sawn frames; cross planked bottom. Alternative: Strip-planked topsides. Lofting is required. Plans include 7 sheets.
26′ Auxiliary KetchBased on a traditional fishing vessel type called a “Cowhorn” this design features an inboard engine and ballast keel.The arrangement provides two berths, a head and modest galley.
The drawing board of Sam Devlin has created another winner. The Pelicano Shrimper is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to maximize practicality in an 18' 4" package. The design has a small cabin forward, with enough space for a v-berth for the occasional overnight.
“Pinocchio” was commissioned by my 7 year old son who wanted to learn paddling. He saw these kids paddling in small plastic kayaks which looked more like “bricks” or “barges” rather than boats.
