Harbormaster, model #HL-485

Built starting in 2008, launched June 21, 2012 at Latimer’s Landing near Shelton, WA. Plans for the hull shape are from the Harbormaster, model #HL-485, by Glen Marine Designs in Bellflower CA. It is constructed of strip planked Douglas Fir, edge nailed and epoxied using West Marine System resin. Powered by 8-HP Honda outboard mounted inside hull (see picture). Includes a Garmin GPS with depth sounder. Open cockpit has built in bench seating with forward facing seats for the captain and first mate. The small cabin houses the battery, a porta-potty and storage areas. When not in the water, it has been stored on its trailer in its own metal “carport” and protected by a Sunbrella canvas cover.
