Starling Burgess Yankee One Design

Price reduced to $30,000. This collaboration between Starling Burgess, Francis Herreshoff, and Frank Paine is well known as a high performance, extremely comfortable, day sailing/racing, classic sloop. Conceived as a long waterline, low displacement 30′, these boats sail like a dream and perform like boats designed more recently. In 2021 this boat was completely reframed but the scantlings of her structure were boosted to make her stronger. Additionally, her backbone, keel, and forekeel were replaced. The small interior, a U-berth and lockers, remain to be fitted to a new owner’s requirements. Length 30′ 6″, length at water line 24′, beam 6′6″, sail area 324 sq. ft. Planking is mahogany, frames are white oak, locust, and live oak, backbone made of angelique, and she is fastened in bronze.
