Grenada Sailing Festival and Workboat Regatta

-

The sailing communities of Grenada and her sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique bring their wooden, bamboo-rigged workboats to Grenada’s Grand Anse Beach every year for two days of highly competitive racing, with plenty of music, food, and drinks—a festival of traditional sailing, Caribbean style. The boats are locally built, using the original designs for the island’s fishing boats—handed down from one generation to the next.
