Independence Seaport Museum Parade of Lights

’Tis the season to get festive with family! Parade of Lights returns — a favorite annual holiday event at Independence Seaport Museum.

A parade of local working boats will be illuminated in holiday lights for all to see on the Delaware River at 5:30 p.m. The best spot to take in this unique sight is from the Museum’s second floor terrace. Warm seasonal beverages and food will be available in our Holiday Hut.

Santa’s Workshop on the Water will be merry and bright with tons of activities and crafts. Hand-made ornaments and glistening sailboats make the perfect trimmings for your home tree. Construct and decorate a gingerbread boat for $5 (limited availability — arrive early!)

Santa himself and Jingle Jack will be spreading holiday cheer around the Museum throughout the day. Let insta-snow fall in our Citizen Science Lab! Discover the science of how (fake) snowflakes are formed.

During your visit, make sure to find the dazzling display of Silver Ships, our micro metallic models of holiday vessels.

Museum Members receive free admission but registration for Parade of Lights is appreciated in advance. Please check your emails or contact our Membership Department at 215-413-8626 or membership@phillyseaport.org to receive the special promotional code for advance tickets.
