AKHILANDESHVARI
The Akhilandeshvari (Akhila) is a 16.5 foot Mill Creek tandem kayak built from a Chesapeake Light Craft kit. Construction began on August 17th, 2013 and was completed in mid July 2014 with a break from Thanksgiving to late March due to temperature concerns in the workshop. The builder, Betty Galloway, is a first time boat builder however she has many years of experience in basic hobby woodworking. The first launch took place on July 24th in Stony Creek, a tributary of the Patapsco river in Baltimore, MD.
