BERTHA K.

I acquired the boat from the man who’s father had her built, hence, I am only the second owner. She has spent her entire life next door to where she was built until I took her to Connecticut. She is now at Dutch Wharf Boatyard in Branford, CT., getting a complete restoration. She was well maintained until recently with no leaks. Her steam bent frames, however, were in rough shape, especially aft... all being replaced with local white oak. Because of the cost, I have had to spread the work out over several years. Hopefully she will be done by the end of 2015.
