CREE

CREE was built in Oakdale, NY, by Otsie Muff, and launched July 29, 1973. She's mahogany planked over white oak frames. We are the fourth or fifth owners, and purchased her in April, 2017.

Since taking CREE to Rhode Island in 2017, we have completed extensive restoration and upgrades including replacement of side decks, refastening of all below the waterline planks, replacement of most cabin windows and about 1/3 of cabin planking, added diesel hydronic her, all new Garmin electronics, Kirby’s hull paint on our own white and green and added a vertical grain for swim platform and teak bow pulpit. Many more small upgrades and additions have been made as we moved aboard summers, in 2020 and continue to live aboard about 7 months each year.

CREE is maintained by Thomas Townsend and his crew in Mystic, CT.
