FURIE (Vrijheid V1406)

The Vrijheid (Freedom) class was designed in The Netherlands in 1945, just after World War II, as a new national competition unity class. Some 2000 were built, of which 1565 received an official class number. To see a Vrijheid in action, check out: https://youtu.be/N1g94dwB1PE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAAGzSQMTsU

My boat was built by L.H. Brozius, a student in shipbuilding at the time, and received class number V1406 in 1967. I adopted the boat from him in 2011, after it had been in dry storage for nearly 35 years. Since then, I have been gradually working on it to restore it to its original glory.
