LONE STAR

LONE STAR is a world cruising yacht designed by Naval Architect Jay E. Paris Jr. and built at Mashford Bros Ltd. Shipyard in Cremyll, Cornwall, England for a Texas Businessman and launched in 1982. Constructed solely in wood using the finest materials (carvel planked teak fastened with copper rivets on iriko frames) with extreme attention to detail, she has proven herself a safe and reliable ocean-going yacht with a rich history. This classic and remarkable vessel is owned and sailed by the original family, with the same professional captain for the past 32 years. She has been wonderfully maintained and updated and she naturally gathers attention with her beauty and fine construction.

Her sailing accomplishments include: four Atlantic crossings, a circumnavigation of both The World and South America. Transiting both The Panama and Suez Canals. Sailing in the Southern Ocean including rounding Cape Horn and The Cape of Good Hope. Extensive sailing in the Windward and Leeward Islands of The Caribbean Sea. Cruising the coast of Equador, Chile, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. The Bahamas, and Eastern and Gulf Coast of North America.

There is no finer feeling than sailing her into a foreign port with flags flying and crew standing strong.

She is currently in Grenada, West Indies and is looking for a new owner to spend the next 40 plus years with.
