SHEILA

SHEILA (1905) is the oldest Albert Strange yacht in commission.

She was built on the Isle Of Man for artist Robert E Groves, a pioneer in coastal cruising.

She sank in 1914 in Dublin and was bombed in 1942 in Ayr, but was always lovingly restored by her consecutive 13 guardians.

She sails without an engine, winches, or electronics, as she did in the Edwardian times.
