PATIENCE is a cedar strip hybrid 12′ Wood Duck Kayak. She is glassed in and out, and weighs in at 45 lbs. This was my first atempt at strip building. It was labor intensive but highly rewarding.
Jun'ichi launched KIRI, a 15'6" pulling boat designed by William Atkin in May 2002. He uses KIRI (Japanese for 'mist') in the waters near Victoria, BC. KIRI is equipped with three rowing stations and a 4-hp Evinrude for propulsion.

I have had these Bolger plans for Diablo for 15 yrs. Originally I wanted to build it at the vocational high school where I was principal but that never happened. Then I wanted to build it in Biloxi, Ms while I was working there in 2009-20010.
This is my first boat, a Penobscot 17 designed by Arch Davis. I built the boat with a bright finish cypress/teak deck, cypress faced sheerstrake, and white oak coaming, rub rail and flooring. A slight modification was made to the width and curve of the sheerstrake.
Completed in five months. All West System epoxy with fiberglass over the 1/2″ plywood hull and top coated with Awlgrip and Epifanes varnish, The wood is stained white ash milled from 4/4 rough sawn stock.
During the winter of 2002-2003, Bruce Porter built this 13'9" x 58" flat-bottomed dory with help from Madison East High School Woodworking Students and staff. Launched in May 2003, SHARK will be used on Madison Wisconsin area lakes and rivers.
