This is my first ever build. It’s from a CLC Tandem Annapolis Wherry kit that my wife gave me for Christmas. Long, cold winters in Wisconsin made for an enjoyable way to spend time indoors. The boat was launched last May, when the ice cleared from our local lakes.
Jim Force writes that it took him three years to finish the 12' semi-dory he won in the draw at John Karbott's WoodenBoat class in 1999. The lapstrake planking is mahogany marine plywood (okoume bottom and transom are pine; stem and frames are oak.
John Beck built this Chesapeake Light Craft Shearwater 17 hybrid using white and red cedar strips for the hull and decking, and added aniline dye to the hull to give it a blue color. John won the best in show at the 2007 Okoume Fest sponsored by CLC.
NA HUI HUI A MAKA LILI is Hawaiian for "Seven Sister Stars". It is also the name of Ben Travis' sailing outrigger canoe. Built in April of 2001, it is 16' long with a 30" beam. The unusual sail was cut from a parachute. Ben calls the rig a sprit-half-gaff rig.

Martin Herbert built ZOCCOLO, an International One-Metre design, to race in regattas up and down Canada’s west coast. He launched her on January 20, 2017. She is one metre (39″) long, 16cm (6″) wide, and draws 42cm (17″).
Pícara, my Hazardous Zero-9 Merlin Rocket build, was successfully launched and sailed on Friday morning, April 15, 2016. She touched water for the first time on Lake Travis, near Austin, Texas, USA. Pícara gracefully sailed in light winds and quickly responded to mild gusts.
