Under license from the MIT's Hart Nautical Collections, Doug Hylan and Maynard Bray have collaborated to produce a highly detailed builder's package for this N. G. Herreshoff classic daysailer.
The Olga 28 is a trailerable power cruiser constructed with plywood and epoxy. The design was inspired by the classic power boats of the Pacific Northwest, while her construction takes advantage of modern materials to produce a lightweight, easily maintained boat.
The AC 75 Evolution design input was to crate a trailerable boat with a small displacement, building with traditional materials such as wood. Another request was to have a comfort and an interior volume typical of larger size boats. We have modified the deck lines to achieve these results.
This gozzo is a modern version of a traditional Italian small fishing boat: built as an open boat and without having performance as a priority in mind, it is easy to row, seaworthy and pleasant to use
