9th annual ELF Classic Yacht Race

Join ELF and other classic sailing yachts for the 9th annual ELF Classic Yacht Race—a true yachtsman’s race. The 2019 event is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th, and will take place on the Miles River, offering land and sea spectators an unparalleled view of classic sailing yachts.

The Classic Yacht Restoration Guild event recreates the traditions of yacht racing of the 1880s when the races began on shore and included rowing to the boat on mooring or anchor, making sail and reversing the process at the finish, signing the race log on the grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
