Adult & Family Boat Building

-

The New Hampshire Boat Museum is offering this program for adults or a team of parent(s) or grandparent(s) and child to assemble the boat project they select. The group meets daily from July 9 through July 17 from 8:30am to 3:30pm. We will supply all the tools, supplies and expertise to help you build your own boat. Depending on the type of boat you select to build, you may be finished with your project prior to the 17th. The extra time is allocated for those building a Paddleboard and the Opti sailboat. The kits available to purchase are a one-person plywood canoe $695, a one-person Kayak $995, a Bevin’s Skiff that will accommodate two adults and can be adapted to handle a small outboard motor $1,195, a 8′ Optimist Sailing Dinghy $1,395, and a 12′ 6″ Paddleboard $1,195. The Museum hopes that all interested families with children have the opportunity to participate in the boat building program. Scholarships are available for families that qualify for the Canoe only. To apply for the program or for a scholarship visit the Museum website at www.nhbm.org. For further information contact Museum staff at 603-569-4554 or email museum@nhbm.org. Deadline for applications and pre-payment must be received by June 1st.
