Canoe and Catspaw

Jim Brossett has been busy. He launched two boats that he built in June 2011. He built this 14′ strip canoe from cypress with cherry accents. He got the plans and an instructional CD from Sandy Point Boat Works  of Carver, Massachusetts, to build this model. He also built and launched a 12′ 8″ Catspaw dinghy.  This Joel White design is built this hull from cypress also. Jim fastened cypress planks onto bent oak frames.  He made the seats, transom, rudder, and keel from mahogany.   Contact Jim at brossett@bellsouth.net.
