Night Heron

Recently completed Night Heron high deck strip-built from a CLC Kit.This is a modified high-deck with the deck re-drawn to preserve all the knee height of the high deck but substantially flattening out the deck center-line... in a style inspired by Nick’s Petrel. The coaming is also stretched an inch and a half to allow me to pull my legs in/out while still seated.Retractable skeg provided by Superior kayaks and deck rigging inspired by the team at Redfish kayaks.Stained with Behlens Nutmeg brown with a polished varnish finish.Project started in October 2013Complete weight as shown 41lbs.
