PUNCOTEAGUE

Tim White of the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, Connecticut, writes, that this boat was part of classes run at the boatshop and started in September 2001. We used the original one page drawing obtained from Mystic Seaport of the Cape Anne Dory dated 1939. We did change from cedar planking to okoume plywood and we moved the deck aft and eliminated one of the two mast steps. The hull is 6mm glued lap okoume plywood, with oak frames, mahogany transom, and plywood deck with dynel covering. The sitka spruce mast is hollow. The oars are made from fir. PUNCOTEAGUE will be used on the Hudson River.
