THE SKIFF

Bill Warm restored his Seaford Skiff in 2009 and says that he built the skiff in 1999. Construction is strip-planked cedar, edge-nailed and glued over cypress keel and frames.  Paul Ketcham's design of the skiff is an "adaptation of the gunning skiffs common to the Great South Bay of Long Island in the late 1800s," according to Bill, who adds that she "is a delight to sail in a good stiff breeze or in light airs." THE SKIFF and Bill spend their time exploring the wetlands around Madeira Beach, Florida.
