Swampscott Dory

George Thomas built this modified Swampscott Dory from plans and instructions given in John Gardner's book, Building Classic Small Craft (available from The WoodenBoat Store). George planked the boat with cedar on oak frames, and seats and trim of mahogany. The spars are Douglas-fir and the sail was made by Nat Wilson of East Boothbay, Maine. George launched the dory in Lake Winnipesaukee last July.
