UNLIKELY CHOICE

The build was started in 2009 by Dr. David Likely of Dorn Ridge N.B. After his passing in late 2012, the task of completing the build was taken on by Dale Murray and Ann Fillmore. Work has been ongoing since the fall of 2013. It has been a long slow process, hundreds of hours of labour, with a substantial amount of progress being made during the COVID lockdown.

Why the name UNLIKELY CHOICE? First a nod to Dr. Likely. Secondly the Navigator, another John Welsford design specked at 14 feet 9 inches, would have been the build of choice. Marconi rigging would have been chosen instead of the gaff rigged yawl configuration.
