F1430 Sit on Top Kayak Strip Plank Pedal Drive
Bedard Yacht Design’s F1430 sit on top kayak, strip plank version, adapted with a Mirage Pedal drive.
TUPAN
Flavio Simon had help from his wife, Marilia, and friends, Andy Jordan and AJ LeBlanc, in the construction of this 15'7" Whisp Skiff, TUPAN. Named after a Brazilian deity, TUPAN took nearly 200 hours of Flavio's time for construction.
ANISHINABE
Aaron Avery built a Ken Swan Nez Perce 13 design 13'6" outboard fishing skiff in his garage. He used marine plywood and vertical grain Douglas fir. The boat is powered by a 1956 10-hp Johnson outboard.
YACHTTEENY
This 7'10" pram/kayak was built from plans in Gavin Atkin's Ultrasimple Boatbuilding, in spring of 2011 by Stephen Nickles, and launched this past June, my brave wife Christine is at the helm.
NOLAN'S ARK
Little Moby Skiff built by Tom Nolan and designed by Charles Wittholz. Okume plywood over sawn white oak frames. Added a small console for steering. Stainless steel fastenings and 50 hp Honda four stroke outboard.
BADGER
The launch of “Badger” was attended by family and friends at Clark Center Park in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

IBIS
IBIS is a 15’plywood lapstrake Duck Trap Wherry built in the late 1990’s by Will Buchanan to a design by Walter Simmons. Now in the care of Miles McCoy of Orcas Island, Washington, IBIS was rebuilt over the past two winters and relaunched this summer, just in time for Miles and his bride Louelle
ANONA
Bruce Johnson built this Steve Killing designed Endeavour 17 sea kayak in 2002. ANONA is strip-planked with western red cedar, maple, and "Louisville slugger" ash. ANONA is a native American word meaning 'laughing water'.
