TUPAN
Flavio Simon had help from his wife, Marilia, and friends, Andy Jordan and AJ LeBlanc, in the construction of this 15'7" Whisp Skiff, TUPAN. Named after a Brazilian deity, TUPAN took nearly 200 hours of Flavio's time for construction.
Sognebåt
The klinker-built faering (four oars) has been used for transportation for centuries along the Norwegian coast line and in the fjords. In the areas close to the Sognefjord the features of the faering is particularly well preserved compared to the vessels of the Vikings.
MISS LILY
MISS LILY is an 11′ Westport Skiff designed by Doug Hylan (www.dhylanboats.com) and built by Rob Hazzard and Chip Schoeneck. The pair launched MISS LILY on Memorial Day 2018.
Greenough Ghost
A 17′ cedar strip Rangeley Boat. Plans and most materials sourced from Newfound Woodworks in Bristol, New Hampshire. This company is top notch. Rose and Alan were always there when I had a question or needed materials. They were patient and informative.
Lil' Miss Canada
Lil Miss Canada is a 12′ 1954 cold moulded plywood Wagemaker Wolverine. Hull number M679 with the original 1954 Johnson 25HP RD - 15 still running well.
SELKIE
The owner of this classic 30-ft Grandy, Jon Kjaerulff of Gig Harbor, Wash., took his Express Cruiser to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard for a much-needed transom repair.
ZIP
John Brooks and Ruth Hill and their four children at Brooks Boats Designs designed and built a new plywood kit boat last summer. The DragonFlyer design is meant to be a trainer for beginning sailors and then grow with their skills, offering lively sailing as their own skills are developed.
AZURE
Jonathan White of Victoria, Australia built this Acorn dinghy in just five months. It is made of 6mm marine plywood and hoop pine with five coasts of varnish all around, and another five coats inside for good measure.
GUILLEMOT KAYAK
John Craven made excellent use of scrap lumber in the construction of this Guillemot kayak designed by Nick Schade. He use scrap plywood and particle board for the kayak form and cedar, redwood, and mahogany left over from his other construction projects.
