Starting with the plan for the Chaisson Dory in John Gardner's "The Dory Book," Dennis Rogers rounded her hull and used double-diagonal planking based on the Ashcroft system to make this lovely tender, LAZY BIRD.

Mark Babcock built a Phil Bolger 15' Diablo design, which he named LINDA MARIE. He writes "I built the hull of fiberglass over plywood as described in the plans but added oak seats and gunwales in place of the plywood called for in the book.

MISS LILY is an 11′ Westport Skiff designed by Doug Hylan (www.dhylanboats.com) and built by Rob Hazzard and Chip Schoeneck. The pair launched MISS LILY on Memorial Day 2018.

Gary Dean of Wadsworth, Ohio writes that he is sure that his wife is not the first woman to name her husband's project THE OTHER WOMAN. Gary spent nine months with this other woman, taking Ted Moores Rice Lake Skiff design and creating a shapely beauty. .

Jim Hammond built this 15'6" double-ended rowing skiff from a mold found in the shop of the late Harold "Bones" Bulmer of Ontario, Canada. Jim calls this the first 'modern' version of a boat built by Mason Boatworks in St. Williams and Port Rowan, Ontario, Canada.

Dennis Hefling and his son built this 17'5" cedar-strip canoe from plans that Dennis drew up.

Nick Riggio built the GERRYLU, a Steve Redmond Whisp design, from Meranti plywood, cypress wood, and mahogany. Nick was a student at Greg Rossel's WB School Fundamentals of Boatbuilding class in the summer of 2002. GERRYLU is 15'7" x 3'6" and is used on the lakes near Webster Groves, MO.

5 new canoes hit the water in Pender Harbour last weekend as part of the 12th annual April Tools Wooden Boat Challenge. Built by students at Pender Harbour Secondary, they were raced around a course in the harbour in pursuit of fame and fortune.

Frank Crumbaugh spent most of Summer 2015 at the WoodenBoat School. He brought home a Fundamentals Class Catspaw dinghy, finished her over the Winter 2015-2016, and launched on 25 August 2016.
