This tunnel boat was designed and built for racing in American Powerboat Association class Sport C.Construction is skin on frame plywood using both exterior and marine grades.
Great boat for the low water Inland tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. My wife sewed the sail from Sailrite. I was lucky to have a neighbor who had a lathe to turn the 13ft mast.
Six youths in GreenFleet’s after-school boatbuilding program launched two Bevin’s skiffs in April 2011. They modified them from the original Joe Youcha design by raising the freeboard 1″. The boats will be used in GreenFleet’s summer environmental education and stewardship program.
Dr, Stephan Scott spent 8 months worth of weekends building PAULYNE, and Harry Bryan Daisy design. PAULYNE is a 12'6" dory/skiff with a beam of 4'2". He launched PAULYNE on May 31, 2003. Stephan plans to use her in Pirates Cove, Alabama and on Arnica Bay located on the ICW.

Donald Eno launched this Penobscot 14 in May 2001 in Lake George, NY. FRENCH LOTION is an Arch Doak design, 14' x 4'6". It took two years to build, and Donald plans to sail her on Lake Erie and inland lakes in New York State.
Carmel Dodds built this 14' Jimmy Skiff, from Chesapeake Light Craft, with her husband Peter so she could take her dog, Skeetwing, swimming at Crab Bank in Charleston, South Carolina. This stitch-and-glue kit boat was launched in October of 2001 on Horse Creek in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
First build of a Wood Duck 12 from Chesapeake Light Craft—great support from CLC, and the boat builder forum was also an excellent resource. Had a prototype launch August 2014—still needed a few final touches, but I wanted my daughter to have a ride before she left for college.
Jack Lightfoot has been busy. He built a Francis Herreshoff/John Gardner pram, then an Iain Oughtred McGregor canoe (15'8" x 33"), and has now started a Phil Bolger dory. Jack writes the McGregor took him six months to build, and that was without using any power tools.
