I build this boat in 2014.
I spend over six months for this job.
She is a -Pasara- Launch.
The hull is made of three layers of spruce-3 mm thick.
Also the west system.
For the keel and the frames I used oak.
The rest in mahogany and teak.
Glen Rahtz has been busy: he built three canoes and launched an outboard skiff that he restored over the course of 2010-2011.

Reuel Kaighn named this 34' full keel sloop after his father-in-law, John Lord, a naval architect and marine engineer. JL is a James B. DeWitt one-design, built by him in 1950 in Oakland, CA. She spent nearly ten years in storage, before being restored at Shotwell Boatyard, in Nescopeck, PA.
Ward Brady of Laguna Niguel, CA, built this Shearwater pulling boat from WB Plan No. 58 to bring the "idea of wooden boats to the West Coast." His assistants are rowing.
Adam Birtwistle of Swan River in Perth, Australia, recently finished building a Melanesia Outrigger sailing canoe, designed by James Wharram. He spent a year on the contruction.
I recently launched my build of a Candu Junior mini tugboat designed by Berkeley Eastman.
The Candu Junior is 11 feet loa. This build is powered by a Honda 20 hp outboard and gets on a plane at about 18 mph. The motor is mounted in a motor well/ tunnel inboard.
Shell Boats of St. Albans, VT, provided the design for this 12' Swifty built by Arnie Goodman and his son Sam, of Tampa, FL. They launched her on May 31, 2004 on Tampa Bay, FL. She is of lapstrake plywood construction with an unstayed mast and sprit boom.
Since Geoff Shallard spent two years living in the basement with his Henley 18, his wife named the new boat SILENT MISTRESS. Geoff used balsa composite panels in the stitch-and-glue construction. She is powered by an electric outboard motor.
