Relaunch of a 1958 Thompson Sea Skiff. This is the smallest lap strake boat made by Thompson in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. All ribs, keel, gunnel, spray rails, and decking were replaced.
Doug Capps designed and built this 15-foot sea skiff to use in Wrightsville Sound and the other waters near his home. He used strip-planked red cedar construction, 'glassed and epoxied inside and out.
I began to build the Annapolis Wherry (named SOLACE) during the WoodenBoat School class at Chesapeake Light Craft during the week beginning April 8th, 2013. Rowed for the first time on November 2, 2013.

“Sea Shadow,” Canada’s first St. Ayles skiff, was launched on June 1st. Twelve friends from the Bay of Quinte region in eastern Ontario started the project at the beginning of January. Most of the group knew their way around a woodworking shop and a few had prior boat building experience.
Nick and I started work on the ladder frame for this, our first boat on December 20th, 2016. Her first day in the water was June 15th, 2017. We estimate 500 hours in her construction. We were coached by the video series with Geoff Kerr and published by Off Center Harbor.
JULES was launched on the island of Kauai this spring and Rob paddles her in the ocean waters behind reefs — primarily for fishing. with the outrigger, she is “stand up safe” and wonderful to fish from.
FOUR WHEELS is owned by four Wheelers - Peter, Anne, Katie, and Allison. It is a 1959 Lynman Outboard that had been sitting in a barn for 30 years before Peter rescued it. He took it completely apart, stripped everything, and was able to reuse all of the original pieces except the horn.
