Aleksander Kovalenko from Kstovo, Russia (near Nijni Novgorod) built in less than one year Eider from Sam Devlin board.The boat sails now The Volga, the builder is happy. This is his first retirement project.
Not_Yet_A_Name
An Auklet, drawn by Iain Oughtred, built during past winter in the evenings, while hearing good music, finding a center between boat design, wood, music, my hands, tools and myself. It’s supposed to be a tender for my S/Y Rondine, driven by oars and an electric outboards.
HONEY BEAR
Ralph Fogle designed and built HONEY BEAR, a 9′8″ × 3′8″ rowing skiff. He planked the sides with 1/2″ tongue-and-groove spruce, and the bottom with 5/8″. He used stainless steel square driver screws for fastenings, and finished the hull in clear epoxy.
CHOCOLATE CHIP3
Van Dam Custom Boats launched a new 30' lapatrake design, CHOCOLATE CHIP3. This daycruiser features an open cockpit that includes a galley, dinette, and wet bar. With a 10' beam and enough seats for a crowd, CHOCOLATE CHIP3 provides a stable cruising platform.
LARK
In June 2012, Brooklin Boat Yard of Brooklin, Maine, launched LARK, a 47′6″ daysailer designed at the the yard. LARK has a cold-molded hull built from wood, epoxy, and carbon fiber. She has long overhangs fore and aft, draws 7′6″, and displaces 10,800 lbs.
Bevin's Skiff
Builders are David Reid, Seamus Whoriskey and Louis Bistrong in a class taught by Jeff Lane assisted by Fritz Fuller at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum in Essex, Massachusetts. The Bevin's Skiff was built in three and a half days and is a great boat for the Essex River.
THE LADY IN WAITING
Warren Price spent six months building a Nutshell Pram. He wants this Joel White–design as a tender for him 18′ Lyman Islander which was named THE QUEEN when he bought her. Naturally, the pram will be THE LADY IN WAITING. Warren launched her in June 2011 on the Cross River in Boothbay. Maine.
GRACE
At just 39 pounds, this canoe is designed for easy portages in Derek Coleman's home waters of Killarney Park, Ontario. Derek designed an asymmetric hull with an adjustable, removable seat and nicely decorated bow stern decks.
The PRIDE OF BUFFALO Geodesic Houseboat
The Pride of Buffalo, designed and built by Michael R Weekes is a 16′ long, 10′ wide, 9′ high geodesic houseboat inspired by R Buckminster Fuller. It was launched at Canalside on the Buffalo waterfront at the Western Terminus of the Erie Canal on Thursday, July 25th.
