A fibreglass sheathed strip built hull with plywood deck sailing canoe based on the lines of a D.N. Goodchild 1940’s canvas on wood frame sailing canoe of Barnegat Bay.
ABIGAIL TIINA is built to Simon Watts’ Sea Urchin design. The boat is planked in pine. Keel, timbers and gunwales are white oak, and transom, breasthook and quarter knees are mahogany.
John Campbell of Belton, Texas built a Charlotte canoe from plans created by Tom Hill, then he made some modifications. John’s canoe now has an inboard motor borrowed from his weed trimmer. The trimmer drives a 5″×6″ 5-blade propeller and can be removed when John’s lawn gets shaggy.
John Craven made excellent use of scrap lumber in the construction of this Guillemot kayak designed by Nick Schade. He use scrap plywood and particle board for the kayak form and cedar, redwood, and mahogany left over from his other construction projects.
The Elizabeth II is a lovely Chaisson Dory, built in a glued lap plywood construction finished in mahogany.
We were commissioned to build this sweet rowboat for Douglas and Elizabeth Eckmann of Ft. Myers Florida to row and play around in the waves, which she does admirably.
Volunteer members of the Sailing Yacht CANADA Restoration Project (SYCRP) built this punt. The group built the punt as part of a fundraising effort to restore the CANADA, an 1898, 65' racing cutter. CANADA is one of the oldest existing yachts in Canada.
I built her in Hamina at Etelä-Kymenlaakso Vocational College (Ekami) for scholarly thesis during October 2012- May 2013. The boat was built from a half-model. The half-model was found in 1912 at Sommers.
A 1952 8-metre built by Anker & Jensen (number 480) in Vollen near Oslo, Norway was relaunched after a lengthy restoration by Tiffany Yachts on the Great Wicomico River, Chesapeake Bay, Virginia on June 29th.
This Whitefin 22, powered by a 90 hp Evinrude, cruises about 25 knots with four adults aboard and has a top seed of 35 mph. Bruce Hansen constructed it from plans by John Gengler, using epoxy and plywood over mahogany frames.
