Motorboats - Outboard

Core Sound 21

The CS-21 was inspired by the iconic Harkers Island style work boats. This center console design features the famous Carolina flare and a modified V bottom shape for a comfortable and stable ride while maintaining a spacious interior. The hull is built using the cold mold method with epoxy and marine plywood. This boat is designed for use inshore and near shore.

The construction method used for this hull is cold molding and is available as a pre-cut jig or plans with full size templates. The jig is made with 1/2″ plywood and most of the jig becomes the permanent structure of the hull. This includes the stringers, transverse frames, front bulkhead and transom. The temporary structure provides support during construction and is easily removed after flipping the hull.
