FALCO singlehanded skiff

Austral’s design is an outgrowth of my 26' Wynfall design, intended to provide additional space below decks, including standing headroom. She is slightly heavier, longer and wider, and has more freeboard than her smaller sister.

These completely new designs were developed at CLC in response to a growing constituency of skilled paddlers seeking waterborne sports cars for racing, exercise, or just plain fun.

October 8th, 1977, twenty-four “21 feet sailing boats” single handed left Penzance (United Kingdom) for Antigua with a stopover in Tenerife.The smallest offshore racing boats were born and so was favourite race: the Mini Transat.

This boat, with a LOA of 8 mt,develops an internal volume such as to allow 6 crew members a sailing cruise.The hull lines and deck lines are to corner for simplicity of construction, and are harmonized with the hull volume.

A versatile 4-metre open utility / runabout for river and inland lake use, built in taped-seam plywood.
