A 16' Classic Plywood Runabout

Here's a handy boat that can be rowed, sailed, and powered with up to three large adults, and it "nests" to take up less space.

‘Volare’ comes in two versions. This is the utility version, the console version is available as a separate set of plans. They’re both 15′4″ long and 5′ wide.Her length is that of two sheets of 8′ plywood and she’s built in two halves (bow end and stern end).

The Crystal 16 was designed to be a simple, lightweight flats skiff. Her hull is a simple V-bottom with a bit of flare in her topsides. Her deck features a large casting platform forward with two smaller platforms back aft on both sides. Storage is available up forward below the casting deck.

A modern interpretation of a centuries old harbour rowing boat.

The Northeaster Dory is small enough to be rowed singly, but big enough for tandem rowing with two adults. Even four adults have comfortable seating. Performance rowers may add a sliding seat.

Rifleman was intended as an economical planing hulled speedboat suited for coastal inshore fishing.
