ALBATROS 26’ is the smallest sister of the ALBATROS family, our modern classic yachts. Far its size it cannot be defined a “blue water yacht” but it is a seaworthy boat.

This 16' x 21" [4.9m x 53cm] strip planked kayak is adapted to comfort and responsiveness in active water. The nearly plumb bow and stern provide a long waterline in a compact package, allowing a good turn of speed in manageable size.

Comprehensive details to allow you to construct a pair of the finest, strongest, and lightest (3.5 lbs each) hollow rowing oars to complement any wooden rowing boat.

The longest runabout we offer, this 28' high-speed, triple cockpit runabout will also require highly skilled builders, but oh, the rewards...

Construction: Battened-seam planking over sawn frames.

Lofting is required.

This is a design for the 2.4mR class. The measurement formula is the same as for the bigger sisters like the famous 12mR yachts once used for the Americas Cup. As the down-scaling would leave the boat with to little righting moment there has been some adjustments to take care of this.
