These completely new designs were developed at CLC in response to a growing constituency of skilled paddlers seeking waterborne sports cars for racing, exercise, or just plain fun.
V-bottomed single shell with sliding seat, outriggers and light plywood construction.
Construction: Plywood planking over bulkhead-type frames.
No lofting is required.

Shallow-draft, V-bottomed pocket cruiser with spartan accommodations for two.

The Wood Duck 12 is a beautiful, easy to use recreational kayak - Here we have beautiful little kayak designed for just about everyone to enjoy on the water.
Rugged carvel construction, round bottomed. Driven by a small inboard. Construction: Carvel planked over steamed frames. Alternative construction: Cold-molded, Strip. Lofting is required. Plans include 3 sheets.
This design was inspired by Ross Lillistone’s “Water Rat”. The bow transom was replaced by a pointed stem. Also the internal volume and from there the displacement of the boat were increased by about 20%. Changes were made to the seating arrangement as well.
This boat is a larger version of my popular POINT COMFORT 18, a traditional Chesapeake Bay workboat type reinterpreted for simpler and more modern construction.
