Prospector “Ranger” 15 — a pocket-sized prospector.The Prospector models built by the Chestnut Canoe Company were made in lengths from 12 to 18 ft.
After numerous requests for a larger version of our “Happy Hour” fishing kayak here is the result. “Long Weekend” is not a mere scale up. Bottom is V-shaped which improves tracking and ability to handle small waves. The slightly narrower beam makes the hull fast. Stability is great.
Janus is a 4 berth trailable sailing catamaran built in sheet plywood. However, don’t be deceived by Janus’ simple dory shaped hulls (which make it a very easy boat to build). It has a lot of internal room for its length and a surprisingly good performance.
