"America" Electric Vessel

"America" is a cold-molded cedar hull with fir frames and titanium gussets, she is 58'6" with 17'6" beam and draws 3'6".
Displaces approximately 50,000 lbs.
Her hull was built by Brooklin Boat Yard in '91 and super structure and power was completed in 2019 by Tom Joyal.
Powered by two drives with 4 60kw electric motors at nominal 96 volts.
Continuous charging from two Volvo penta generators (860 hours), cruises at 6.5 knots. 3000 watt solar array with 600 amh battery bank at 96 volts.
Sips diesel.
Sleeps 7 in 4 staterooms with two being suits, two full heads and a day head, antique wood throughout the vessel, 660 gallons in 4 tanks diesel, 350 fresh water in two tanks and 80 gallons black water, chart plotter, auto pilot, incredibly self-contained boat!
We cruised her 4500 nautical miles and lived on her fir 2 1/2 years.
She is in amazing condition and ready for next adventure. A dream to live on!
