LEILU is the first Jewell class launched - Aug. 10, 2013. Conceived of by Clint Chase; drawn by Francois Vivier, NA, built by French and Webb, Belfast, ME. Hull is a CNC okoume plywood kit; glued lapstrake on plywood bulkheads; trim is mahogany, spars are sitka spruce.

LI’L BOAT

LI’L BOAT was launched September 3, 2013 in Egg Harbor, WI. Hull was stripped planked using Atlantic White Cedar and sheathed in fiberglass cloth and epoxy. Transom, seats, and trim are Mahogany. Flooring is Cumaru and spars are Douglas Fir.

A well used boat very active on San Francisco Bay. The Sailing Race committee boat for the Aeolian Yacht Club. Cosmetic restoration ongoing. One half of the boat is perfect all the time!

Scandal Skiff

The Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building launched this 14′7″-long Scandal skiff last summer. William Atkin designed the Scandal in 1924 to be a slender and fast boat suitable for use with a small outboard motor.
