ANDROMEDA
In 1949, 14 similar boats were built in Åbo båt varf Finland. ANDROMEDA is hull number 3. There are still eight of these boats alive.
ANDROMEDA
ANDROMEDA is a traditional Finnish fishing boat from the South Coast of Finland. This type of boat is called a fiskari (fishermans boat). The boat was originally used for professional fishing in the Gulf of Finland. The boat is mostly made of Finnish pine.
The Open Boat
This is a design for a basic hull made from one piece of closed cell foam 1m x 4m x 50mm thick.
ARALLA
The current owner has cruised this vessel extensively for almost 20 years. The vessel was in Government service in Tasmania from launching 1928 untill 1972.
Milford 20
The Milford 20 is a trailer-able shoal draft sharpie schooner modelled on the New Haven sharpies of the late 19th. century. It was inspired by Mark Fitzgerald’s FLORIDAYS design, as published in Reuel Parker’s Sharpie Book and featured in Watercraft Magazine.
Hill 16
Jason Corsini of Quiet Waters Boatworks in Riva, MD built this beautiful example of Cerny Yacht Design’s Hill 16. Using a unique strip plank method and sheathed in fiberglass, she is lightweight, dry, and seaworthy while powered with a 40 horsepower outboard.
