Northwest Seaport Annual Classic Workboat Show

-

Northwest Seaport is the museum of our region’s workboats. Every year we gather a group of visiting tugboats, fishing boats, and emergency response vessels at Lake Union Park for you to come see, step aboard, and experience. Some are retired classics and others are still on the job, moving cargo, keeping our waterways safe, or bringing home the catch.

Our featured vessel is TORDENSKJOLD, a working boat finding a new life after 100 years spent fishing the northwest seas, alongside of many other fishing vessels like those in the series, “Deadliest Catch.” TORDENSKJOLD was featured in the cover article in the Jan./Feb. 2018 issue of WoodenBoat magazine; here is your chance to tour this halibut schooner in person.

Come on down and see these boats up close, tour the engine rooms, talk with captains and crew, and get a good dose of maritime history here in Seattle. There will also be a beer garden at the Historic Ships Wharf.

The show is free and is open to everyone. It is produced by Northwest Seaport and sponsored by leaders on our working waterfront.
