A Colorado high school team that built a 40′ boat, and subsequently paddled it in a grueling contest on Puget Sound. The race, called the Seventy48, is a contest for human-powered boats, so-named because it covers 70 miles in 48 hours.
From 1906 to 1913, the boats of the German Sonder class competed in international regattas organized to foster friendship among various countries—and particularly between the United States and Germany.
